One of the women I met via the Internet passed away on Thursday.
It affected me deeper than I thought it would.
We never met face to face and I didn't even get to hear her voice.
She was my twitter friend to start with and then we shared email address and talked through there most of the time. Eventually she signed up for Facebook and Ive been emailing with her for months now and have gotten to know a great deal about her and I truly miss her. We had loads of fun and laughs on twitter together and with others.
Unfortunately she passed away due to brain cancer. God felt it was her time. I knew she had cancer - terminal cancer but I always tried to stay optimistic and hope for the best....alas, all the prayers in the world couldn't save her.
We were supposed to meet next year, health willing. I'm very sad that this will never happen.
I'm happy I was able to make her laugh through her pain.
She will be buried on Thursday and I have the privilege of being allowed to write some heart felt words to her and her sister is going to place it in her coffin. This is an amazing honour and I am eternally grateful for this.
Its hard to loose someone you never met yet had a bond with - it makes me realize how much people affect us, even when we didn't get an opportunity to have a face to face meeting. I have another Internet friend who is very ill also and this stuff is difficult to deal with when you're so far away as I am here in Canada. Im not one who has a lot of money, I can't fly off to meet people at whim. Most of the people I talk to since Michael's death I will never get to meet.
Im starting to rethink the Internet friendship thing....
I'm sad and I don't know what to do.
Great! I like this blog! :)& remember : it ain't dark . If it talks about Michael's truth,it isn't dark, because Michael wasn't dark. Those who cheated him are dark!!
ReplyDeleteo love that blog, but i hope some of us how love michael, jackson, will meet some day. it should be a great moment in our life. hug ,l.o.v.e
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Sentiments, miss tina.
ReplyDeleteI miss her too!
Thank you for sharing your friendship with me!
Your friend for Life,
Mellie
Beautiful blog about a beautiful woman. The net has brought a whole fan-mily together and you have to be grateful for it. Your words are very meaningful. May you find peace in your loss as time goes on. Let her memory always be sweet.
ReplyDeleteDon't give up on internet friends--they fill in spots sometimes you didn't even know needed filling. Besides where would you be without your two besties for life, Mellie and Jakki? It is hard to lose someone with that kind of bond but as they say, it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all....
Take care,
Melissa
It's very touching..
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly what Michael taught us about LOVE, and how love has no boundaries.. keep the faith for love, it's a magical thing of our life..
thank you for sharing..
God bless you,

Loved your message. Remember Michael when you say you're re-thinking about internet friends. He was close to many people in pain, from cancer and other diseases, and he chose to suffer with them and made their lifes better. I'm sure that pain made him sleep worst, or don't sleep at hole, but he thought it was Gods wish. He was a better person for that. Maybe God wants it from you too. Be strong!! Love you
ReplyDeleteTina I'm very sorry for your loss. Please know we are here for you. Please keep the faith and don't give up on the internet. Michael would be very proud of your support and L.O.V.E. Ever since Michael left, many people have bonded deeply out of our love for him. I'm sure you were a source of love and comfort for your friend. You do great work on behalf of Michael and if it weren't for the Internet, we wouldn't all see it or know you. For that I'm very grateful. Again we are here for you and so is Michael. Its all for L.O.V.E. What you do and your support extends more love into the world which is what Michael wanted us to do. Sending a MAJOR L.O.V.E to you. (windy09MJ)
ReplyDeleteTina I am so very sorry your friend lost her fight. I know we all prayed hard for her, but God needed her more they say when someone passes. I am sure she gave it all she had and with you by her side I am sure she felt loved every day. Tina you are an amazing friend and I cant imagine my MJ family without you. So please re-think the internet friendship thing. I too have lost some great friends on the net, but their friendship only made me a stronger person knowing them. We need you Tina, and Michael needs you. You have done so much in the fight for justice for this great man. Your friend is with Michael now and I dont think she would want you to give up on that fight. I love you more my friend. And I am so glad our "internet paths" have crossed. Your forever friend - Patti
