It's been a hard year, in one week it will be the One Year Anniversary of Michael Jacksons death.
As I sit here typing I still find it hard to believe. Michael Jacksons Death...I didn't think that I would be talking about this at this point in my life. I don't know if its because I thought maybe He would live forever, like an Angel sent here to Earth to keep things balanced. I know, I know - I'm an adult and I know he wasn't going to live forever but I did think that he would live past 50. That's only half of a life, the other half of his life span was stolen by a reckless Doctor who was more concerned about celebrity and status. He was after all The Michael Jacksons doctor and that says something right? Well know he will FOREVER be known as the person who killed Him.
No matter what happens in Court - this is a stigma that will follow him to the ends of the earth until his time here is finished.
What we lost will never be again. Michael Jackson was a special human being, one who actually felt the pain of others. He understood that we as a people are ruining this Earth we live on each and every day - that we only have a short time before it irreversible. He gave tirelessly of himself and supported many many charities. He visited Childrens Hospitals - he paid for Medical care for people he didn't even know. Michael wanted the people in the World to love one another and to remember we are all brothers and sisters. Under the skin - we are the same. He gave us a lifetime of music and memories, I read that at his concerts - up to 3000 people a night would pass out and have to be taken out by EHS. Yes you read that correctly, 3000!
Michael Jackson inspired so many people from so many different cultures, He is worshiped all over the world. He sold more albums than any other singer in history. He broke racial barriers by being the first Black person to have videos played on MTV.
He was smart and he was an awesome business man - we know this by his Will alone. Good on ya Mike for that one ;) you couldn't have planned that one better if you tried!! You don't "owe" anyone anything - you are not obligated to finance your brothers lives or their babies mama. You did it right - Your Mother, bless her heart, and your children. Well played my friend!
So with all that (and more) why did society think a good "Thanks Mike" would be nasty documentaries about Him and his sweet innocent children?? Isn't it time that we started giving this Man the props he so very much deserves and stop bashing him all the time??
Michael gave OVER 300,000,000 to charities in his life, more than any other single person and how often do we hear about his humanitarian efforts?? This Man did so much good and positive things - why can this stuff not be tributed?? This is the Year One Anniversary, shouldn't this be the time that MJ gets some recognition for all of the wonderful things he did?? We owe it to Him to keep his Legacy alive and that's effen near impossible with all the obstacles in our way. Why doesn't anyone have empathy for MJ??
Negative may sell but you cant buy morals and you will never get your dignity back.

Tina you couldnt have said it better. It's time the world give Michael the respect he deserves. He gave from the heart and never wanted any recognition for it. I look at so many celebs today and it seems they want to be noticed for everything they do (Haiti concert for example) like they are some kind of god for doing what they do. Michael never wanted that glory. All he wanted to do was help. And help he did. The world has lost a great treasure and the least ALL people can do is honor and respect him for that. I remember what Rev. Sharpton said to his kids at the memorial "There is nothing strange about your daddy, what is strange is how he was treated."
